Our Mission: The mission of Community Bible Church is uniting people to Christ by authentic worship, holy living, sharing the gospel, growing in grace, encouraging each other, and serving people in need.

Our Purpose: To love God by living lives that glorify the Father, are completely committed to Christ, are led by the Holy Spirit, are obedient to Scripture, and reflect personal holiness. To love others by actively participating in fellowship, discipleship, accountability toward greater spiritual maturity; and engaging in a lifestyle of ministry that honors God and meets the needs of our present age.

 Our History: We gratefully acknowledge that we are the beneficiaries of precious Christians, who made their choice to serve Christ sacrificially in an effort to honor Him and build His Kingdom in our community and beyond. Their sacrificial commitment resulted in the founding of Community Bible Church in March of 1956, the first purchase of a building and property for the church, and a parsonage for the pastor in April of 1956. This first church building was located at 3rd & Hayes. In 1960, a new parsonage was constructed. In 1969 the old church building was demolished, and a new church built. In 1977 an addition was built onto the church. In 1985, the adjoining property to the north of the church was purchased for future expansion, which took the form of a fellowship hall in 1998. In 2002 the current parsonage was built. In 2012 an additional storage building was built in the back parking lot. And in 2013, after an arson, the entire church was remodeled. To God’s glory and by His guidance through all of the building, CBC is currently debt free!

Over the years, God has continued to bless Community Bible Church in a variety of ways, enabling very effective ministry. Many people have come to know the Lord here, grow in the Lord here, and raise their families in the Lord here.

Our Vision: Is to be highly effective at sharing God’s love and building His Kingdom by fulfilling the Great Commission and developing committed followers of Christ. To accomplish this, we intend to provide a variety of ministries designed to meet these goals, such as:

  • Meaningful Worship Services that are engaging and honoring to God
  • Biblical Education in areas of Marriage, Christian Living, Family Life, Personal Growth, Finances, etc.
  • Discipleship Groups that facilitate encouragement and spiritual growth in each person
  • Connectedness, camaraderie, belonging, and unity through a spectrum of Fellowship Events
  • Development of Youth into the Christian leaders of tomorrow through age specific programs, i.e. Trail Life, American Heritage Girls, Life4ce and 
  • Meeting the needs in our community by facilitating programs such as Engage Recovery, Benevolence Fund, and Outreach events.
